I guess, if nothing else is happening on the weekend.
Syd V Carlton Easter Long Weekend...who's going?

Everywhere, if last years games are any indication. We sit in the cheap seats (GA) on level 3, but they (Swans supporters) are pretty much spread throughout the whole arena, which is pretty much the way it has always been in Melbourne in the larger stadiums. (I know , I know, there are only 2 stadiums in Melb these days, but they do both seat over 50,000.)Originally posted by Refried Noodle
Yep, I'll be there.
Where do Swans supporters usually sit at Docklands?Last edited by goswannie14; 20 March 2006, 05:53 AM.Does God believe in Atheists?Comment

I thought you broke that last year???Originally posted by desredandwhite
Yeah, I'll be going. Leave Sydney on Sat morning, stay in Melbourne overnight, then fly to Brisbane for work.
This jetsetting lifestyle is really getting to be a drag.
It'll all be worth it though, when we win.
Interesting trivia: Des has never been to see the Swans win at Docklands. Losses to Essendon, St Kilda, Hawthorn, and That Draw. That will all change this year.Comment

No, I broke the MCG hoodoo in round 22 of 2004 (win against Richmond).
177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

It is normally the more-expensive reserved seating in the lower tier, but if you go to the right of screen (ie nightclub) end around our Cheer Squad, you can generally look and see if there are spare seats and sit around there. We have only 190 members in Victoria & get 300 seats behind the goals in the CS area.Originally posted by Refried Noodle

So if you ask nicely and save your beer drinking for half time outside the area, they should let you into the area no problems.
Wasn't planning on going, but if I have enough FF points I'll definitely think about going down.

Cool, cheers. Might do that (if I was on my own), but I'll be with a few mates so Lev 3 at the Covenrtry end (same end I think) is ok for my $11Originally posted by JF_Bay22_SCG

Yea, that beer drinking rule could be a problem too.
With prob about 8,000-9,000 Melb members and a few thousand from NSW and Melb non-members we could outnumber the 'no-show' Blues supporters.Last edited by Refried Noodle; 20 March 2006, 02:52 PM.That's the problem with modern day medicine - there's no more natural selection of the species.

Hey Matt79. I come down once a year and I've decided Round 3 is the weekend. To see the flag unfurled twice will be a highlight.Originally posted by Matt79
Gday gang,
Just booked the flights and tkts for the Calrton game on the long weekend. Any non Melbournites planning on going to the game?
Will see 4 games over that weekend so I can't wait...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

It's my only chance to see footy in the 'home' of footy, so I too make the most of it and will be going to four games. That's the problem with modern day medicine - there's no more natural selection of the species.
