    Who's a real footy fan - Swans 1970's

    Hi everyone,

I'm looking for the real Swan's footy fan that knows the players from the Sth Melbourne era? Any takers?

My wife is an old Swan's supporter and this morning one of our kids found my wife's old autograph book and she had a number of autographs from the team in 1971. Lot of great names but sadly a few I don't know and even harder because I have trouble reading their signature.

Anyone willing to help me out?

    Thanks,

    Prento

    Hi Prento

maybe I can help. I also have an affiliation with the Swans that dates back to 1970. And amoung my collection I have autographs from that era. If you could scan them then maybe I could help identify them.

I'm willing to try if you can scan them and send them for me to have a look. Went to my first game of footy in 1970 and was a Sth Melbourne (and cheer squad) member in the late 70's.

I also have an autograph book from the 70s

A good source for players names and details is Jim Main's book "Plugger and the Mighty Swans"

That was before I was even a Richmond supporter, so I guess I'm not a 'real Swans footy fan'
