It's easy to run off your opponent when your opponent is unfit.
It was funny to watch on the DVD, I reckon Bazza must have been enjoying it too.

I hope people who were defending Greg Denham after his article on the Swans this week have now changed their mind after reading that rubbish in the Australian today.

The guy has no idea - firstly saying we were the worst team to win a flag since Collingwod in 1990 and now saying St Kilda would have won last year "no doubt" without injuries.

The Melbourne football media might as well be card carrying members of the St Kilda cheersquad with even less of a brain.

No. I think this article is pretty ordinary and the other one was too. However, I don't agree with the specific complaints about the Swans article raised on RWO.

Never had much respect for Greg Denham, and this article on the Saints has not improved it. In all honesty, I am not surprised nor disappointed with the AFL website article predicting us at fifth. Less pressure that way, and they are notoriously wrong anyway (re Sydney 2003, and Adelaide 2004).

However, to simply declare that St Kilda was the best team in the competition (especially because you use the lame excuse of injuries) is pathetic. There was no conclusive evidence of this fact at any stage in the season. So they won 8 of their last nine H&A games... err we won 7 of the last 8, and 10 of the last 12, with a total defecit of just 8 points. So they won their QF away from home (just) and we came bloody close even further away from home. Then they had the luxury of a whole extra week off, whilst we slogged it out physically and mentally against the fifth best team in the comp.

They got beaten up in that PF fair and square. They had the lead at 3/4 time, and the momentum. The commentators, the Saints fans and probably the Saints players thought they had it in the bag. But we turned on the gas and blew them away. To see it as anything else is a dangerous indulgence for the Saints team, and may well be the very reason for their downfall this year yet again. To simply go into a season thinking that as long as 'luck' is on their side they will win it all, is the easiest way to assure your own defeat. And I think the team simply gave up in that last quarter last year.
