    Magic

Link to article about Micky O. I especially liked this:
"My goal, once I fell in love with Sydney, was to play my whole career here and I think I've got a few more years in me."
I hope his knees hold out for him to keep playing well. I almost cant imagine the Swans without him, with Micky having played throughout one of the most successful and significant periods in the club's history.
    Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.

No link cruiser (and I'm too lazy to look for myself).

I too hope he can hold his body together as he is one of my favourite players and gives the side that bit of brilliance. I am glad that his knees have not been too crash hot the last couple of seasons or Roos would have had him rotating through the mid-field too.

Huh? It was there when I last looked.

I can't see Magic playing a full season after 06. It will undoubtedly be a huge loss.

So is there a 'natural' successor? To me, on the current list, no! Malceski may have the ability to step up, but at this point, it's far from a shoe-in!

          Any other ideas?

I wonder if he could become an effective bench specialist like Riccardi at Geelong?

I think Mick is dreaming a bit here. He's fading out.

Disagree on evidence from 2005. His final quarter of the GF was vey very good in every department other than his kicking. I know that's a big "other" given how bad he was in that department, but it wasn't typical of his year.

He kicked 52 goals in 23 matches - a more than decent output from the second target up forward. He set up countless more through sleight of hand that most footy players could only dream about.

Methinks there's a lot of football left in him yet.

I'm with you Liz. Sure he's 'broken down' somewhat, but he has been like that for 2-3 seasons.

WTF? Magic has come on the back of one of his most consistent seasons in ages. He'll be fine this year and the next.

I hope you're all right! I also hope he remembers how to kick straight.

                          Got to start forgiving.

It was the last quarter of the AFL season, the stakes were at the peak, stress generates fatigue and Mick had worked really hard on 2 determined opponenets all day.

I think I would struggle to kick it over Hunter or Chick's head too.
