    AFL Shop

I was down in Melbourne for the Commonwealth Games, and decided to fill my Premiers Collection with a couple of items. Where else to do so but the AFL shop below the AFL museum right?

Wrong!! Not only was the selection of merchandise generally p**s poor, but there were only about 3 Swans items.

    So either:

    1) The shop was poor
    2) They don't want to stock merchandise of a NSW team winning the Premiership
    3) They had sold out.

I'll leave you to make up your own mind!

Has anyone had a similar disappointing experience?

Both 1) and 2) ... I have found it generally "hard" to find anything half-decent that bears the Sydney Swans logo in a sports store in Melbourne - Be that Rebel, AFL shop or otherwise (nope, hardly look in K-mart or Target)

I get most of my stuff from the Swans shop

There is the F1 shop in Elizabeth st, and another sports shop in an arcade off Bourke St Mall, they usually have lots of all teams stuff.

Should checked with the locals first PS. The more popular sports stores in Melb CBD had jack @@@@ Swans or WC stuff on GF eve.

The AFL shop at Highpoint is pretty good too. However in my experience the best AFL shop to go to is the AFL shop at Knox, the owners are Swans members.

Gotta agree with Scott, next time check with the locals if you want to find out where to get Swans stuff in Melb.

yep i go to knox all the time because i only live like 15mins away & the afl shop there is great plus the couple who own it are swannies supporters, i talk to them all the time- great people! from memory i think the guy there got a swans tattoo on his arm, looks awesome

but i especially like the window at the front of the store- full of swans premiers merchandise & my dream- framed item with the jumper, medal & all the players however it costs around $2000!

but i do recommend the knox afl shop to everyone its fantastic!
We will mourn, but it will make us stronger....watch out AFL Sydney will be back in 2007 come September
