    Just no Respect.

Swans don't appear on Wallace's radar for high-flyers
"I think that most people would be expecting those that were on the rise last year should continue on the rise," Wallace said.

"They've had a real direction, a real focus on what they're trying to achieve. They've had a little hiccup last year in Sydney and I think that will drive them."

I find it hard to take anyone seriously who has coached Footscray and Richmond.

If that comment drives any team it should be Sydney!

"a little hiccup" is definitely the most insulting comment I have read (amongst all the other negative crap).

Not very well put together article. I think the hiccup he is referring to was in the context of speaking about Geelong and the Semi in Sydney.

That's how I read it too, but the article could have been written a lot better than it was.

The hiccup naturally refers to Geelong losing in the final seconds.

A real slap in the face not to include the Swans. Nearly more than any other observation I've seen, this should be one to really spur the guys.

                Geelon had a "little hiccup"
Adelaide "messed up" its premiership chances
and "St Kilda's got a great list"

If I was a Swan I would be mightily pissed off at having my triumph dismissed so readily.

Firstly, this is the man we collectively booed out of the top job at the Swans. Whether or not it had been 'promised' to him at any stage. Certainly, he cant have any love left for us.

Secondly, he lost any vestiges of respect with his comment on Adelaide's finals: "That cost them a flag," he said. "Going back to Perth twice in two weeks was too much.

Because the GF was going to be held at home. And the Swans didn't have to travel at all during the finals.

Watching White Line Fever on Monday and it was headlined by the statement:"Swans get no repect"... of course as per the headline there was no discussion even though it was promised throughout the show.

I was hoping someone would mention this. Clinton even read out an SMS from a Swans fan asking for respect, and assuring us there'd be more about that subject "a little later"... still waiting Clinton.

Don't Fox Footy understand that for people in non-footy states, they are our prime source of news? And yet, the first episode of WLF was all about Carlton/ Spida's beard/ "how do you think [insert name of Victorian team] will go this year?"/ gee aren't Geelong deserving of their victory after so many years?

Didn't we win a flag or something?

It was almost as if they just laughed the topic off...

But I thought Spida made some good comments about how tough Sydney are as a team and Neitz even had us in his top 2 (for memory)

Had to turn off WLF. I would end up throwing something at Caroline Wilson. Hope shes not a permanent fixture on WLF.

Sadly I suspect she might be. Wednesdays will be a day to skip. I find Wallace tedious as hell as well, and the fact he's a current AFL coach doesn't endear me to his opining on things the way he does.

I do have WLF on downstairs. Is it just me, or does it look like he's seriously overdone the suntan cream? He's positively orange!
