I hope Hird recovers and can play out the season. It upsets me when a champion footballer stays "one year too long" and leaves the game without a whimper. Jason Ball showed how to do it last year - go out on top.
On WLF tonight the Wallet said the Hird has the old man's disease (calf injury), Caro complained that Sheedy as usual would not come clean on the extent of the injury, also said Hird was so upset he kicked a hole in the dressing room wall.Comment
