    Dirty Tactics.

Did anyone see, the knee to the back of Monty at a centre bounce?

    Or

The whack they Hall copped (off the ball) from Solomon (I heard)? Hall was cleary distressed like he'd copped one in the jewels?

There were some other rough tactics going on too.

Essendon is like that. But BBB got a few good ones in too, including knocking Solomon off his feet and a Macquire-like chop to Bradley that fortunately isn't being looked at. Probably because Kepler didn't go down like a soccer player, somewhat to his credit.

At least I didn't see Essendon throwing the ball to each other like they usually do and always get away with. @@@@s me no end.

Didn't Goodesy get flattened off the ball too as he was making his way to the forward line during the last qrtr?

The punch to Bolton's face should earn 2-3wks.

Also think that the best moment in the game was when Baz evaded three would-be tacklers, including a great shoulder to Solomons chest that planted him on his ass.

Wasn't that fantastic - except the bit where he missed the fact that about four Essendon guys were tackling him and there were a couple of free Swans who were open for an easy goal.

@@@@ oath! Bazza sometimes just tries too much when i simple handball over the top to a free swan would of done the trick. Still a great hit on Solly who absolutely ripped us apart. He has a habit of playing great games against us.

Yeah. The expected handball over the top to allow us a score didn't eventuate. Just like the kick that almost knocked the goal post over when another two steps or a handball to Micky would have given us an extra 5pts.

Well its only the first game, and his fitness last night was excellent considering. Plus I cant recall him spilling any easy marks. His overhead marking seems to have improved... well for now anyway

IIRC all of Bazza's marks were one grabbers, no juggling this year.

I did notice one of the bombers helpfully adjusting Nick Davis' testicles after he took a mark in the last quarter.

The knee to the back of monty was while he was standing, along the centre square. Did no one else see it?
