Everyone pls call Channel 9 re commentary

Hi all

I am absolutely disgusted in the commentary especially Garry Lyon who is such a smart arse and keeps bagging the swans and poor Leo (get over it) - I think Garry Lyon is being really disrespectful. The digs he keeps having about the swans has really got to me. Constantly makes little jokes about the swans - really disrespectful. Anyway I have called Channel 9 and made a complaint about the one-sided commentary. Please feel free to call yourself (02) 9906 9999

Very true. Suppose the fact that the swans are playing so crap, some umpiring decisions - the commentary has just been the icing on the cake

We did play like crap.

But thank god this is the last year of Ch 9 coz their coverage and commentary is abysmal

yeah i felt the commentry was biest at times but i dont really blame them for giving it to us because we played the worst brand of footy ive seen for a long time. If we cant knock off carlton next week then its going to be a very long season for us swannies.

Absolutely. I can dismiss the commentary but I scream helplessly at the rotten camera work - showing the strained look on a player's face or the back of someone's neck in the crowd instead of the field position. Thank God 9 is losing it.

Dont know what the fuss is about the commentary. I thought the comments about how we were playing were absolutely relevant to the game.

In the last Q Dwayne Russell said, after 3 players handballed in circles instead of kicking and hence turned it over, that we were playing "rubbish football". What is wrong with that, he was spot on.

I thought they were very fair given that when we were getting screwed by the ump in the hat, they were making very sarcastic comments about his decisions and umpiring ability. Also when we were 50+ points down they still gave us a chance.

The commentary had no influence on our appalling exhibition.

Their call was pristine compared to the Fox Footy lot on the Geelong/North game. How on earth does Glen Manton get a gig. When he calls his commentary is punctuated by large periods of silence probably because he doesn't know the players.

I thought they had microphone problems. It was like a silent movie with canned crowd noise.

i gotta agree with you there
the camera work was shocking half the time there was people in the way or it didnt even show where the ball went
plus it even missed one of bazzas goals

Stuff the commentray, over here in perth we basically missed a whole quarter of footy that wasn't shown.

Thats aside i thought the commentary was ok, but i get a bit dismayed when they dont hollar about the bad umpiring decisions against the swannies. especially soft frees in front of goal,

I think they commentators today were just totally dissmayed at the performance of the swans like the supporters..

The coverage was woeful. "We now join the game 5 minutes into the fourth quarter ..." WTF?!? Not to mention boring shots of the coaches sitting idly in the box while the crowd reacts to something onfield.
