Originally posted by garethb83 Whether you all like it or not, the 22 out there this weekend just gone are easily 22 of the best 24-25 we have, and the difference between them and 2-3 fringe players is extremely minimal.
One difference is that new players may tried their hardest rather than expect it all to just happen for them.

Exactly!
I was also thinking it may be good to make a couple of changes at once. Not wholesale changes, just 2 or 3. That way the new guys don't see themselves as just backup for the incumbants. Hopefully they realise they have to be the playmakers just as much as any other team member.
Maybe bring in Malceski, Moore and Vogels?
Who to drop seems a bit tougher. I would love to see Kirk, Leapin' and maybe Willo if he is carrying an injury. Wouldn't that put RWO into a spin!
Then again we may get our acts together against the Blues and we hope no one gets injured and the team stays stable for the next 24 games (I don't think we will be in a position to get the second week off in the finals).

strike me dead, i thought the thread was the usual ' slam old Bennie' by the usual trio of TV watchers and brain dead . But it seemed to have been expanded .Well maybe one day someone will bother to watch old Ben an appreciate the work he puts in......yeh, mainly negative (like a number 5 in rugby?) and not hugely skillfull but maybe an essential part of a TEAM.
A TEAM, funny expression really, and if THE TEAM don't work, then some here would attack the parts unfairly.
My main amusement was to see Roos walk (strut!) onto the field with NINE ,YES NINE, assistants with there little white boards and there little personal gatherings and there perfectly attired red and black outfits .The players must piddle themselves. What a pack of wackers. Is this what my game has come to!

Yes!!!!! I have found another Benny fan!
Go Benny! I'm with you red!
Some people say Football is a matter of life and death - I say it's a lot more important than that!

Not really a 'fan' but I believe the TV watchers will never appreciate some of the work that BM puts in and often Roos (and the 'brains trust of nine') send Ben onto players to 'shut them out'.Usually successfully if not with great finesse.
We all would love a team of KiRks, Goodes etc in every position but it ain't gonna happen and we did win the GF because of Benny and a crap load of other hard at it strugglers.
Don't bag players that perform to there ability week in and out and win us the flag.
You know there is also the word 'their' (and they're)!
