    Bloods ARE DUDS in 2006

Well the Bloods really have coagulated in 2006.

Anyone who disagrees that the Swans don't have a severe premiership hangover at the moment would probably be one of the supporters who clapped them off the field at half time.

I don't know what happened at full-time because I left at 3/4 time along with half the crowd. I had already wasted an afternoon watching a team that wasn't putting any effort into the contest, I certainly wasn't going to waste anymore time sitting in the car park.

Poor performance should never be rewarded. It's not acceptable for Junior level let alone at the professional level.

I had hoped last week's loss may have been a wake-up but obviously not.

Then on the other hand I can understand how difficult it must be for the players to motivate themselves after last year's final series. I'm just a supporter and I'm still not overly excited that the footy is back on. So I can imagine what it must be like for the players.

Paul Roos has a major job on his hands now in trying to wake the players up.

Have a look at the front sport's page in todays Australian. Ther are two photo's. Leo's mark in the GF and the second a photo of him on his knee. It's titled: Bloods to Bloody awful.

It seems that Jason Ball's retirement will be a huge hole to fill but I think even if he was out there yesterday it would not have made any difference because no-one bothered to turn up to play.

Maybe 5 or 6 players should be dropped for the next two weeks and the Club suffers some further short term losses in the hope that it might shake up moral. Opportunity and spark generated by the younger players from the 2's might help the situation.

I'm certainly not saying the season is over after just two losses. We could lose the first six games and still be a chance for September however not if the desire is not there.

Are there any suggestions out there for morale lifting for the players? I don't expect Paul Roos to take notice of what's written here but I'm sure the players read this site to catch up what real supporters are thinking.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

Two bad games and they are being written off?

Give them a break. If things are still bad at the end of April I'll be negative but right now I will keep on going to the games, SUPPORTING UNTIL THE FINAL SIREN, and talking the team up.

The fans can't have a defeatist attitude and then expect the players to lift their game.

I thought Bas actually said he's not writing them off.

I never understand the need to stay to the final siren, particularly if the team have been atrocious. If they don't try then why should you be expected to sit there? Still, I wouldn't leave quite that early though.

I think that's the wrong way round.

        Isn't it obvious??

They are trying to bump the odds out a bit more to get a decent return on their (and our) bets.

Weren't there a lot of new supporters there on Sunday, I heared a couple of comments about "The ref" ~ which I hadn't heard in ages.

Indeed we got done in the ruck, the umpires gave us a bashing but it does look a little as if the players were a tad short of intestinal fortitude. Seeing most of the team standing around at 3/4 time with hands on hips was a very sad sight.

Our team has been very stable going back until midway through last year. Maybe complacency has kicked in.

But now I think its time to swing the axe to wake up a few of the under-performers.

Get some youngsters in who will show a bit of hunger - Moore, Grundy and dare I say it... Spriggs.

Lots of newbies sitting round me - not a particularly good advertisement for the game sadly....(I mean the Swans not me).

This post and others of its kind are annoying.

In this scenario, send them back down here to Melbourne where the public cares more for football than leaving at 3/4 time to come whine on the internet.

I'm not overly happy either but what crap to spin in April.

                  Well here we go,

Start off the year with two losses and out come the experts!

As for leaving early then see ya later, beat the traffic home and perhaps next home game, just stay there,in the comfort of your place where the swans owe you nothing.
Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

Your determination, your tenacity and your under-rated skill is why you have become my favourite player!

What on earth is this garble meant to mean? Why is it such a problem to leave before the final siren?

Bas, living on the central coast you might have a reason for leaving early....but then leave early every game. Please don't leave early just because they're not going so well. That's when we need everyone to stay till the bitter end. It's easy when the team's winning, but better to give your support when things are not going so well. BTW, I enjoyed the last quarter a lot more than the first!

In all my 45 years of following the Swans I have never left a game before the final siren apart from once when we left at 3/4 for a wedding. And we have copped some horrible hidings eg. Buckenara era.

As far as I am concerned true supporters dont leave early. Those who leave early are not true lovers of the game or their team.

I don't subscribe to that view. It makes little more sense than supporters have to pick their own team in a footy tipping competition.

                            Why?

Then you would argue black was white anyway.

Why is it such a problem to leave before the final siren? If you are 10+ goals down and your team has played like a bunch of idiots, why do they do supporters have to do "the right thing" by the team when it is not reciprocated?
