You seem to forget the reasons why South Melbourne Swans became Sydney Swans. Might have had something to do with it's supporter base at the time?

I have just read all these posts, and I just know "Yes I am a bit disappointed in our start to the year, but how proud I was of my team (Sydney Swans) and the joy they gave me I cannot even put into words in winning that premiership last year. I know this is now a new year but I also know this form wont last forever, they will be back and play with the same passion they played with last year, Im sure there has to be a little let down after such a big year last year, but take my words it will only be temporary.

wrong, wrong, wrong!!! Had nothing to do with supporter base, the club was forced to move or fold because they were broke, now what would you do? The supporters in melbourne moved heaven and earth to keep the club in melbourne so stop talking @@@@. You have no idea so just keep on following them when they are winning and abuse them when they lose.....thats the sydney way.

And why do you think they were broke? The same happened to the Newtown Jets in Sydney. The supporters all grew old and passed on and the new generation that moved into the area had better things to do that support a sporting team.

Oh get your hand off it. I swear i have this severe dislike for Melbourne people atm. In less than 5 years your mob have turned into a bunch of hate filled, cocky, arrogant arsewipes and thats just being nice.

Somehow in the last 10 years someone announced Melbourne as the culture capital of australia and the knuckleheads in Melb believed it. And now all you hear is hate and vitrol against anything Sydney, Adelaide and perth to an extent.

And lets not forgot about following the footy. Look at pompous idiots like Nico. So what if i want to leave early..why should i sit through a 10 goal defeat? So i can "keep it real"? Bugger that i rather not.

Such a shame, as melbourne used to be a really friendly place with a nice humble city.

Now its just a wannabe Sydney.
