    The ruck.

The ruck is our biggest problem* No ball (Ball) in the centre means no delivery to the forwards and worse, extra pressure on the seven dwarves in the back half. Belt the bloody thing, you oaf! What's to be done? Goodes to take some bounces? Doyle to come back? Spriggs to replace Chambers?

    * Well, for the sake of this thread anyway.

If Doyle is not fit, I'd say that Goodes taking some bounces is about our only option at the moment.

Whilst Jolly didn't exactly cover himself in glory yesterday, in relation to Chambers he did OK. I hate bagging players so early in their career at the club, but Chambers was simply woeful yesterday.

I haven't checked the stats yet, but I don't remember him winning a single hitout, and certainly not to our advantage. Add that to some terrible ball skills and decision-making, and it was a shocking performance. Perhaps a spell in the reserves will prove a wake up for him?

BTW - on the MMM call on Sunday they were going on about how Chambers had come in for stick here on RWO ... and how he was likely to get even more!!

we're getting killed out of the middle. If Jolly can't be more competitive, we need to change the centre square setup - start roving to the opposition ruckman.

Also, why does Jolly always give up front posn at boundary throwins?
