    Dempster dropped in action call

. . . Roos said anyone of up to a dozen players could have been omitted on form grounds.

. . . . He said his team had yet to stick to its game plan this season

. . . While Roos reiterated some of his out-of-form premiership players still had some credit left, he said "at some point the money in the bank runs out".

. . . full forward O'Loughlin said the forwards had been "pretty poor" for the last couple of weeks.

"I'm talking in terms about the pressure and the chasing and things like that, we know where we are at and hopefully on the weekend you will see a different side

I , thought that Dempster was a bit average against Port, whilst

other posters thought he was one of our better players.

He is a bit stiff to be axed, but obviously the coach doesn't want

to be in panic mode and make wholesale changes just yet

Dropping Dempster smacks of Rodney Eadish type treatment of young footballers when he was at the Swans.

I think Doyle has a hamstring strain.

And more succinctly, how could they drop one of our only defenders with any sort of height at all?

We have LRT & Teddy as players with at least over 190cm. After from that our defence are an out-of-form bunch of smurfs midgits & dwarfs, many of whom are NOT conditioned to close checking and/or are giving up a great deal of height against big stronger key forwards.

I just cannot reason why Dempster was dropped, when a guy like O'Keefe can spend all match seriously going through the motions across half forward.

Are the Swans getting like the Australian cricket team, where fringe players get shunted after 1 poor effort & 'stalwarts' continue to retain their spots (more often than not continuing to perform poorly.)

Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Dropping a young player such as Dempster isn't such a bad thing at this stage.
