There were a lot of things thrown at the tele tonight I can tell you. Talk about frustrating. At least we won.
Next week I wont even be near an internet link. My family think it is a good thing as it will be better for my health not to go through this frustration.

Yeah - sometimes I wish I didn't have an internet link here for precisely this reason! That was frustrating to listen to, even though I repeatedly burst out laughing at the Triple M commentary. Kekovich and Dermie make an interesting combination, that's for sure.

Next time, if the game's not televised into Asia I think I'll be making other plans, just for my sanity.

Very similar game to the games we won early last season. Couldn't quite string 4 good quarters together..but it will come..

Chambers can't. My brother's just nicknamed him "Council" cause he's that boring.

I thought Malceski was really good, a couple of his passes were spot on and they had to be. I hope he gets a long run to cement his spot in the team.

McVeigh was pretty good too, offered us something late in the 3rd (despite that shocking decision to play on and double back).

Chambers won a few hitouts which was encouraging but looks totally lost when the ball is in play.

Still worried about getting smashed in the clearances. I hope Jolly's okay for the next few weeks.

A win is a win but still we were ordinary at times. I thought Bolton J was very good tonight. Disappointed with the eski, wont be seeing him down here again for a while.

                      Lucky it was Carlton.

How the hell is Chambers allowed to be even wearing the red and white is beyond me. He takes us back to the years of duds. I just seriously can't believe how crap he is.

As for the effort. Meh reminds me of the early wins last year. So frustrating.

"Ordinary at times"...did you not mean reasonable at times. They were awful overall. Chambers has to go...anyone with some height & mobility would be better value in the 22. The play in defence was woeful...pathetic...no idea what to do...how could this happen so quickly.
Our skill level is down..Willo can't get a kick...Craig Bolton is off with the fairies half the time...LRT is well LRT...brave but awkward & dangerous anytime he has the ball.
Our problems are far from over.

Fair assessment but obviously new to the site. LRT is not a footballer, pure and simple. But we are not allowed to say that here.

Well we sure did our best to try and lose that game, thank god Carlton are pretty ordinary themselves.

Way too much fluffing around with the ball and our handling is still atrocious, fumbles galore, dropped easy marks and the like. At least the intensity was greater early on. Still got a long way to go.

We really have to hope and pray that Jolly plays the entire season coz if Chambers becomes our no 1 ruckman we are in HUGE trouble. 0 disposals, 11 hitouts and 3 tackles tonight.

                            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

We made Carlton look good. But saying that we were like this before we won the flag. It hasnt changed. A lot of the errors i am seeing out there are the same frsutrating mistakes they have been making since i can remember. Like Hand balling to players under pressure, not knowing where to kick, dropping easy marks and just doing simple fundamental errors.

Our ruck stocks are so low atm. Chambers needs to go. He even looks like those dopey looking 3d players in playstation games. Just stands and looks dopey.

Wow that was crap. The only team we would have beaten in the competition with that performance was Carlton and possibly Richmond. We were lucky that Lappin didn't play all game.

J Bolton was probably our best after a poor first quarter.

Hall tried hard and never received some fairly obvious free kicks.

Davis did okay but continues to be ignored.

O'Loughlin was reasonable - kicked 4 goals but missed a few marks he shouldn't have.

Schneider did some good things, made some things happen, and did some stupid things.

                                Buchanan was good in parts.

Mathews did a very good job on Houlihan.

With limited opportunities, Malceski was quite good - tackled hard and generally kicked well to position.

McVeigh is never going to be a decent AFL footballer.

                                Neither is Ablett.

                                Neither is Chambers.

Williams is carrying an injury and needs a week or two off.

Crouch is carrying too many injuries and needs a week or two off.

Goodes is struggling still, looks slow and out of it. Is he carrying an injury?

LRT did some good things and some stupid things. Still lacks awareness of where the ball is or where his man is.

Barry generally beat Fevola, although Fevola made up ground later in the game, but Barry undid a lot of any good defensive work with clueless headless brainless play off half back.

Kirk is still struggling, but looked better.

A number of our players had very high stats, but didn't do a lot with the ball.

At least it's a win, but that's all it is.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."
