    Goodes in the ruck

Should Roosy just bite the bullet and put Goodes back into the ruck? He didnt really play well last night goodsey and i think it's maybe time to risk him and play him in the position that won him a brownlow.

Our ruck dept is one area that will lose us more games than win this year. And its a major problem atm.

    Thoughts?

I was thinking this last night too. Goodes should be protected under the new rules, and he gives us a mobile option in the centre. In effect 4 on ballers rather than 3. Worth a shot, with him resting down forward or loose man in defense.

He basically did that last night anyway (played ruck rover, loose man in defence, rested forward), just without the ruck taps. He seems low on confidence ATM and is being exposed one on one (last week by Cornes and this week Kouta to a small degree) when forced to follow his man into defence which has always been his weakness.

We all know what sort of football we would love to see Adam play (Free flowing, around the ground, link work), but maybe he has been worked out by the other coaches to some degree since his Brownlow win and even a move back into the ruck might not be as effective because he certainly wasn't effective last night as a ruck rover and going for ruck taps wouldn't of made his game any better last night that it was.
      Once was, now elsewhere

My Pokemon brings all the boys to the yard and they're like "Wanna trade cards?"
"Damn right, I wanna trade cards. I can beat you, I've got Charizard!"

Around the ground, yes. Centre bounce, no.

I don't think Roosey is quite ready for a lynching - his own.

He did centre bounces quite a bit on Sat. night, not rucking but RR.

I suspect he is still playing a bit too accountable for his opposition player. Needs to play a bit more selfishly IMO. He could do this best in the ruck and go berserk like Cox is at the moment.
