Goodes is a handy match-up for White. That leaves either Doyle or Chambers for Jamar.

What have we done about White in the past? On most occasions White has struggled against us, but I can't imagine it was because Goodes kept him quiet. I actually think of a single occasion when Goodes has played an accountable role and stopped his opponent.

Remember that game at Telstra Stadium in 2004. I seem to remember him tearing us apart in that game.

Generally I would suspect it's been a combination of Ball at the taps and starving the Dees of enough Ball to render him ineffective around the ground.

I do remember Goodes playing a great half back role against the Hawks after he did the knee in 2004.

Last year Jolly soundly beat White in the rucks - something to prove maybe? Then he got himself suspended for the way he dealt with his old teammates. I bet he's desperate to play this weekend.

Surely they wouldn't bring back Donkey without a hitout in the magoos? Especially with his injury problems.
