With confidence yet to reach any sort of great heights, there are a few in the team that are second guessing their own ability and some over-rating theirs. Skills are down as a result!
If we aren't seeing it at least 3 times a quarter, that is Leo, Noggy, ROK, Craig Bolton, Monty and co trying to break the unbreakable tackle or they are waiting way too long and handballing to a man with so much heat on, it makes an Arabian Sauna seem like an ice bath.
Leo put LRT under enormous pressure to lead to that goal, far from LRT's fault and Leo is supposed to be his cool headed leader down back.
I thought the coolest heads on Saturday night were on Malcevski, LRT and Teddy. I think these guys didn't have cause to 2nd guess themselves and also have great respect for their opponents (as is the way a rookie should think). How good was Teddy's handball to Kirky from the boundary?
Leo and co could take a leaf out of the book of the youngsters and get out of their own heads and egos and go back to 2005 team ethics. Their skills won't have to be tested beyond limits and passes will stick.
Hopefully Round 4 will show some improvement.
Anyone else agree or disagree here?
