Chamber of Horros (RWO gets a mention!)

"Roos might be happy with Chambers' progress but the former Melton South country Victoria junior is yet to endear himself with most Swans fans.

On unofficial Swans website redandwhiteonline.com, Chambers has drawn plenty of discussion with the majority of if less than flattering for both the player and club."

    LOL.

The first paragraph says it all!

The picture says it all. Not sure how he's going to get a tapout if his hands are poised to spar instead.

Chambers will eventually become a great asset for the swans, unlike the injury prone Doyle.

I can't imagine Chambers ever being "a great asset".

RWO also had a mention on MMM when they were saying that Mathews was getting bagged.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

LOL, that was my first thought too.

Maybe we should start a thread bagging Morrisey, see if we get a mention then, coz he has never endeared himself to us.

The Roos message sounds very much like the LRT approach ... "he is doing what we want him to do at this stage ... the only way he will learn is for us to give him game time" ie. be patient, we know what we are doing. I actually thought his output against Carlton was reasonable - he showed a bit more than in previous weeks ... was a bit harder at the ball.

So what does this mean for us ... three years of "Torture Chambers" discussions along the same lines as the old "LRT is crap" threads. Given Roos' commitment, there looks like there is a lot of pain to come.

Odd comment. How can you criticise Roos for his development of LRT when he has developed into one of our key players and was one of the best on ground in our PREMIERSHIP win last year. He has developed very nicely as I am sure many will agree!

He wasn't bagging Roos out - just saying that if the same development path as LRT is taken by Chambers there is going to be pain attached to that development.....

Yes I know, but my point was that this 'pain' with LRT lead to a premiership.

I don't think that lead to a premiership.

Matt - I don't see where I criticised Roos? I am all for it - there is no way he is going to get any better playing in the ACT, he needs to be playing in the 1's if he is to develop. He is a project, but rather than developing in the osbscurity of the ACT, we get to suffer his ups and downs every week - it will be painful ... just like LRT's development was.

Roosy is right though.....it doesnt really matter if chambers isnt getting kicks, handballs etc. its the effective hitouts that count and his ruck work wasnt that bad against carlton. Maybe judge him at the end of the year only 3 games in.
