Kirk and Goodes had plenty of ball from what I saw.

Goodes has never been a good set shot.

I think maybe Woo was talking about the soccered shot from about 5m out. In which case a bit more awareness and he would have realised he had more time.

A bit more talk and he would have known he had more time. Happened when he was running through the centre and just got a kick away because there wasn't talk from teammates telling him he had someone on his tail.

The little things like talk, shepherds etc can make a huge difference and we seem to be fairly ordinary at them at the best of times.

My reaction to this game was a strange one. I was frustrated throughout (missed the first half of the first quarter and only watched it on tele due to soccer) and was yelling at the tv throughout, but after the game, I was strangely calm again. I've been like that after all our losses this year. Still sedated from the premiership maybe? I don't know. Then again I might be comforted by the Swans being back to their old familiar losing ways.

I thought they played better yesterday. My brother, who went on my ticket so was at the game, thought they were rubbish. Maybe I am still being blinded by 05's glory.

I know how you feel Mel. I didn't feel as disappointed as I have in the past. In the dying minutes I was thinking that I would be quite satisfied with a draw. In the years BP (before premiership) I would have been really dirty about our conversion rate, easy goals to the Dees....
After yesterday I am just to have a seen a good close game of Footy.
This was my first game of the season and the atmosphere was awesome in the last few minutes up until the final goal.

Very frustrating. Two missed goals by Goodes, both of which he should have kicked, and generally going missing in the second half are examples of what stops him from being a champion.

Paul Kelly was a terrible captain because every kick wasnt a goal of didnt hit a target.

The ones that should have been kicked were in the first Q - Richards and Goodes smack in front.

Couple of deft touches and good skills Teddy but I can see why you were a spare parts man at Essendon.
