    Lrt!

I only caught half the game* but LRT's delivery by foot was sublime on the weekend! Looks to have been working hard!

Against Carlton I noticed several times he seemed to pick some really nice lines, running straight and hard. He comes from a Union background and that is one of the things they teach, lines to pick that will allow you to run at pace, untouched.

Loved it when he took two defenders on against the Dees. They bounced off, great stuff. He seems to also be taking less time to dispose, he seems to have good instincts, just has to trust them.

Easily looks the biggest mong in the team when he fluffes it though. Duuuuh I'm Lewis.

Was this the time he was tackled in the centre and was within a mili-second of being called for holding the ball...

I think so, yes. I have not watched a replay but from memory he just got it away. I just like to see some confidence to take the man on sometimes. No doubt he would have been better off disposing quickly but you know, I just like to see that stuff sometimes.

I don't think he got away - I seem to recall he did a strange handball over his shoulder and found a teammate.

He did....it seemed like he'd taken about 100 steps too.

Yep. Considering the cricket square is about 30 metres, he ran at least 25 - but then, plenty others do too

                You missed 1 definite clanger.
The one where the ball went 90* to the intended destination, does that qualify as a clanger?

Depends what pressure he was under at the time.

I thought LRT was BOG for Melbourne last Sunday, such was his ability to give the ball str8 to a Melbourne player on numerous occassions.

Did you know the Mathews rule on clangers is any clangers he does are not counted.

My conspiracy theory is Mathews slings every stats man in the country so they play down his garbage disposals and play.

That's exactly why I said Judd was our best player during the GF.

LRT did some pretty dumb things on Sunday. The worst was his effort to evade a tackler, turn to his left and look straight at an unmarked Tadhg, only to handball it over his shoulder straight to Davey.

It cost us a potential foray back into our F50, and we ended up losing the game a few minutes later.

I would prefer Vogels to LRT any day. He takes a cleaner
mark, has an idea of what to do with the ball when he
gets it and generally looks a more competent player.
