I'm proud to be a statistic! I've never been a member before due to the financial constraints of being a student, but being able to get to all of the games and give money to the club is quite a satisfying experience!

Its interesting as you would presume their are some members not in SYD/MEL.

Wan't gonna sign last yr but did, considering we won I signed this year. As a uni student as well, i know what
      swannieserin means.

But next year I considering as I want:

Less Sunday 1pm starts as i never go anyway.

Maybe 1 or 2 friday night games which is very unlikely.

Saturday 2pm games are ok but we also seem to get zero of them.

I don't think the membership statistics relate to where you live. There are two places to buy memberships, from the Melbourne office and the Sydney office of the Sydney Swans.

We have OVER 300 in WA alone! The WA Swans Supporters Club do an awesome job; but to become a member you have to actually pay for a special WA 'country' Club Membership as well.

Once we get the new Queensland-based one up & running, we could get upteen new members join up there. As regards areas the Swans should target, I reckon the northern NSW/Queensland area is the most lucrative area for prospective new club members.

But as with all things, you have to actually get value for your membership. Are 1 game a year memberships really worth it to the club? Are they worth it to the member as well?

Now if they just start winning some games, they might keep all those members next season too.

yeah - time will tell as to how many of the "newcomers" last the entire season. We have noticed up in the MA Noble the number of newbies who turn up late expecting a decent seat, and then have the gaul to give you filfthy looks should you shout a little too loud (precious darlings!) some really havent a clue as to whats going on - but at least they are showing an interest I suppose.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

They can take the drum, but I will fight them to the death should they try and take my "Ribena" from me.
