Only one word: Phew!
How important is Saturday's match to 2006?

That means we only have 9 left and would have to do some serious winning on the road.
Hopefully it does not come to that. If we do lose tonight we can almost kiss a top four spot goodbye. (at the very least)
Maybe we should play at Telstra Stadium all home games.Comment

Ok, I know that Telstra Stadium comment was a bit tongue in cheek, but I reckon you might have a bit of a point there. I know the SCG is small, but it has only been throughout our two games this season that I have noticed how truly small it is. compared to all of the other grounds, the ease with which teams can get it from one end to the other is unbelievable. I understand that we used to have a huge home ground advantage there in the past because nobody knew how to play the tiny ground, but maybe that is fading with the rule changes (or something else that is happening...?) OK, I realise this is probably just lil ol me over-reacting to two disppointing losses there this season but it is food for thought nonetheless!Go you mighty BLOODBOYS!Comment

I have to agree (despite my long ago protests about it being a bugger of a place to get too and that there is nothing to do out there) it seems that for the Swans to play like we know they can, a bigger ground is whats required.
At the end of the day if they play better footy out there - then lets move there permanently (sorry to all those in the Eastern Suburbs, but I guess we all have to learn to look at the bigger picture),
We have seen how they play at the MCG & Telstra Dome - lets go out to Homebush and be done with it. (I know I have so changed my tune!)
Even the red wine purchased wasnt that bad for a change - so perhaps things are improving.
and also a big thankyou to the policeman who kept the quite savage Swans supporter (who lives in Geelong!!)who just decided to stand next to where I was sitting in check - it was a bit scary at times with this bloke just going off his tree and being very agitated to the point that he could have become quite violent - a few of people thought he was a friend of mine........Last edited by Wardy; 30 April 2006, 11:10 AM.I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

there's been too much money spent on the SCG. no way will they move all games.
i wouldn't get too carried away by the SCG losses this year - we wouldn't have beaten Port anywhere & simply didn't take our chances v melb.
the extra Telstra space helped Baz - but we need options for when he's getting beaten (esp. if by 2 defenders) - no matter where we play.Comment
