Kennelly playing in Centre

I'm far away and am not always on a computer so am out of touch maybe, but has Tadhg played centre yet this year or ever?

Will this not bog him down or are they looking for him to feed off the packs and use his run?

I'd tend to play him half-back or half-forward but not in centre.

Any thoughts? Am I wrong, has he played centre before and made a decent stab at it?

AFAIK he's never played centre. It's not suited to his style of play - he is an outside runner and should begin on the flanks and wing.

He's named on the wing, not in the middle. I doubt he'll play there but I think he could be extremely effective there.

I thought Eade used to give Kennelly a run through the middle in his first couple of years in the seniors.

Perhaps he was taggin someone tho'.

Kennelly is perfect where he is.

I am a strong advocate for allowing Kennelly to play on the wing. He can still wander down into the backline to give us run plus he can also move forward and kick goals.

His defensive skills are not good and he can be dragged out of the play when his man moves deep into the forward line.

There was a funny moment at the AFL Club last year when Tiger admitted that he hated a tagging role and would fall off his man so Roos would take him off the job. Nicksy exclaimed "Any time I try that I find myself back in the Twos next week!"
