Schmidt and Willoughby in The Age

Did anyone else see double page spread on these two in The Age this week?

It was talking about guys from interstate sometimes struggling to settle into life and football away from home.

Read that on the weekend. The story mainly focussed on Willoughby.

Willoughby reckons this is his make or break year. He hasn't lost the fire to play senior football, even though he hasn't been given a chance.

The stats of draftees since it's inception suggested Sydney is one of the better clubs for given them a run.

I think it was something like only 1 in 4 draftees, ever get to play senior football. So it is a very tough school. But then they get about $50K to play reserves footy, not a bad salary for their age,

      I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
