Goodes played his best game of the year. At times he was very good and even when he drifted out, he was pretty effective - and that's a change.

On the crowd being quiet - I thought that the biggest roar was when Baz took his first touch (outside 50) and the second biggest was for Adam's first touch. I thought at the time that it was great that so many know he was our Brownlow player. (It did get louder when we started needing goals and getting them.)

Well all I can say is there are some hard taskmasters on this board Goodes for mine has been in our best half dozen players so far this season his skills are exquisite, sure he makes a few errors who does"nt, as for Kirk his form has been down a little but just maybe all those close tagging assignments over the past few years are taking their toll on his body, that he is trying his best is not in question. Very easy for us to be critical sitting on the sidelines but its a totally different ball game when you are out there in the thick of it,remember opposition teams know just how much Kirk means to the Swans so they are going to target him accordingly.
      cheers Ian

I just struggle to describe a game by a player who has 3 possessions in the second half as "excellent".

As far as his season goes, he was destroyed by Cornes.

Missed two gettable goals against Melbourne.

He has done the occasional good thing but hasn't really had a huge influence except in small patches, hence my thread on him last week about needing to step up.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

3 possessions in the 2nd half I would swear I saw him with the ball in his hands more than 3 times in the 2nd half but I realize you are the RWO stats guru so I wont argue with you.

No need to apologise Rizzo. He'll warm up again, it's just a matter of when.

Maybe people expect too much from Kirk. I reckon after the GF he must have felt that his body was in a 1000 pieces it got belted that many times during the season.

To me he appears like he had a slow build up to the season and will slowly run into form. Probably a bonus up our sleeve.
