    Chants, we need more chants!!!

    Hi all.

This is my first post, I have been going to the Swans since bout 96 and haven't known of this site til today

What does anyone think about bringing more chants to the game? The only chants that go on are the "Sydney, clap clap clap", and the long drawn out Syyyyyddney.

I am an English soccer fan, and have been to a few games over there too, and non stop during the games are different songs, and chants, and it gets the whole crowd involved. The song/chants can be about Sydney, or more fun, about the opposition/opposition players.

    What are your thoughts?

Australian football does not lend itself to chants and songs because the flow of play is less predictable. Most of the chants are started by the cheersquad after a goal is scored because at that time there is 30 seconds before people need to watch the game again. There's no other good time to start a chant, because you might miss the next big mark, or a solid bump, or even the king hit on your favourite player.
