If there was a case for moving a game from the SCG to Telstra it would be the Saints game but definately NOT for the Crows.Occupational hazards:

The Crows traditionally draw a large crowd in Sydney with a large ex SA contingent living in Sydney. Their fans also travel in large numbers.
If we are both preforming well, then a crowd of 50,000 is not out of the question.
Above all, I reckon we play much better with the greater amount of space at Olympic, MCG, Subi & the Gabba
Makes perfect sense to me.

This thread does however unsurface an issue that both the club & AFL need to address. In Melbourne suburban matches could always be re-scheduled for the MCG (or Dome) if need be with a minimal amount of fuss, yet we in Sydney appear to be far far inflexible to do the same.
It is hardly irrefutable to argue that getting 50000 at Homebush is worse than 35000 at the SCG, even if there are contractual issues we need to deal with.
I'd love to have the flexbility to say switch one of our blockbuster SCG games to Homebush if need be. The St Kilda & Essendon matches could fall into that category I guess.
If we are serious about promoting our code as much as is humanly possible, we have to be at least flexible to move matches when a bigger crowd at Homebush is likely.
