In fairness Sean is in his third season, Eski in his second. Both played great games against a side on the terminal decline. If we get a little too carried away with their form we may start to sound like the shrill bleaters from Richmond, Hawthorn and Carlton over on Bigfooty.

Benny still has a role to play, and he is probably the best true tagger in the team now. Even Kirk has begun to pick up his attacking game and had some great centre square efforts today. The game might be getting a little too fast for both these days though, and if/when the number of stoppages are down, Ben in particular gets shown up.

It took me a while to realise Mathews wasn't in the team. I hope he now has to earn his place like everyone else, but we all know that won't happen. He has too many "credits". Like others have already stated it would be really unfair to drop any of Dempster, Eski or McVeigh. They all played well, even though they probably could have had a mediocre games and we still would have won against the Blions.
