Tadhg Kennelly 2nd most important Swan.

Dead set how good is this bloke?
Runs the lines, defence has improved out of sight and the speed of him....

I would surely hate to lose him again this year.

Probably the most important, the change that has come over Sydney since his return has been remarkable.
The run he gives from defence is what was missing from Sydney at the start of the season.

Talismanic so far this year. According to today's press the decision to remain in AFL next year is far from a fait accompli.

Offer him anything to stay with Swans...offer him the deal that all games we play can be used with a round ball!

He is approaching legend status! Give him the number 14!

He's already making the number 17 famous, why change?

And he played every single minute of the 2005 season! i agree with the "making the number 17 famous" comment. I can see a Brownlow/Norm Smith/Club Champion medallion on this young man.

He was very good today. The Swans change significantly while he is around. Deserves to have his name spelt correctly though.

He certainly makes a big difference to the team when he is playing.

                      Question:
who's the #1 most important Swan then?

I don't believe Tadhg is returning to Ireland for another few years. I'm sure he wields it over them like a fantastic 'pay me more tool', but I can't see him returning to Ireland in the next three years.

Kerry will always be a championship threat, every year here and he'll get his spot anytime he wants it.

I can't imagine he wants to come home this early and get a job and play amateur football too soon.

Granted missing family and homesickness are terrible things and can make decisions for you (hence me having been returned to Ireland for a year and a half at the mo, to return to NSW this July), but he seems happy enough.

I'm delighted for him to be playing such great footy though, he's a genuinely nice fella and his Ma and Da are lovely people (go nd?ana Dia A mhaith ar an chapall c?ir).

                              No brainer.

Not sure that Kennelly is the second most important, either.

The Swans are better served by any of Goodes, Kirk or Bolton playing at their absolute best than Kennelly playing at his absolute best if you had to make a choice.

Could make an argument for another two or three players too.

I'm a huge fan of Kennelly and I think he is pretty important to the structure. I just don't think he's the second most important.
