I've heard the same thing from people who know him - you sholdn't confuse having a personality with being a dh. That said, he does seem to have skipped merrily over the boundary of "lovable enigma" into "confused pest" this year.

He is getting older, slowing down and would cause disruption in the team. Also it is a strong draft year and Sydney needs to start drafting some young talented kids and not fall into the hole that Brisbane has. Finally, Aka used Sydney to force up his salary - why would the club want anyone who has treated them this way.
