Would anybody consider a straight swap between Rhino & B2 in forward/back lines?
They're both fit, strong, disciplined, play 'tall', long and penetrating with their kicks and have great motors. Sure ROK hasn't played in defence, but as the link man role, as B2 often does, he could be very good. Look at how much Schneids has improved since being pushed into defence. Rhino is def in our starting 18, and if he isn't kicking straight in front of the sticks then we need to look at other plans. If he can concentrate on something else than shots at goal, and get his confidence back all well and good. In the meantime, B2 gets to kick a few. And I have no doubt that he could.
If ROK actually has the 'yips' then this is a good result.
A pair of decent footy boots would not hurt. (I presume he wore those bloody golden Tinkerbell boots again last week) Wearing them he looks like a fairy and kicks like one too.

Could be right Ian. I watched a lot of footy last fortnight (two months free Foxtel) and decided there is a definite correlation between the time spent on hair styling and the poor performance of the team. Likewise for flash boots.
As bloody usual, Commetti put it best "I bet he wishes that move had gelled as well as his hair".
One thing has definitely changed for ROK this season.
He is no longer under the radar of the opposition. He is more tightly checked leading to more pressure when in possession. We have seen him get a few HTB frees agst already.
I don't think he's as defensively aware as B2. He seems to play a couple of metres off his man ATM and they seem to get an easy possession.
I think we have forgotten that Pebbles was very ordinary in the early rounds last year as well. He is also a wee bit supersticious. Last year he finally attributed his poor form to the long hair and got it shorn after McPhee towelled him up in the R7 Essendon game. (this is true, he told me mimself) There after his form improved. Can only hope he wakes up one round earlier this year.
I have more confidence of ROk correcting his inaccurate kicking than MOL.
Davis accurate kicking comes from his same kicking style: kick strength, height, routine wherever he is kicking from. If he misses, he does not miss by much. ROk appears to have the same style. with practice & examine his errors, he should get out of the hole fast.
Whereas MOL kicking is all all over: one minute "jabbing" it , the next minute its is different kick strength, routine. there is some fundamental problem with his kick. He should take a leaf out of Davis style - be consistent & pratice often. His great marks are wasted if he cant convert. Maybe a mental coach is also needed to keep him in the right frame of mind during his kick.
Hall routine appears to be consistent & accurate. sometimes, he gets out of the set kick routine & have shocking misses.
Practise again & again on set kick routine, Davis style. Thats what their forward position jobs are.
(Bay 32 is just up from the interchange bench. Davis came off, as part of rotations, and rather than walk up and back along the boundary line - like everyone else - he sits his lazy ass straight down. Re-enters the fray and tears his hamstring. )
ROK kicks to where he is facing at the point of impact. He runs out to his left and pushes the ball that way. When he's kicking well he has a nice straight run and runs directly towards the target.
Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.
MOL kicks from about 20m out. ROK and Davis from 40+.
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

Penga you ruined a great post with a ridiculous statement....players tear hamstrings in the midst of games, bending down to pick up balls, making a hard lead. The 2 minute bench time is not going to make any difference to the muscle condition being more susceptible to an injury.

Did I make a direct correlation to both occurences? No. Read it again. Cause and effect, much like the other thread at the moment. He did not participate in what EVERY player - unless injured - does after coming off, which potentially caused his hamstring to tighten up. These measures are in place for a good reason.
Originally posted by Go Swannies With his better fitness and stronger legs this year MOL seems to be leading a lot further out this year. And chasing more than halfway down the field.
Agreed. He seems to be more confident taking longer attempts this year.
Obviously had a shocker in the GF - but was good in the other finals & kicked some great goals.
As for ROK, he should change the spelling to O'KOOF. Must've had half a dozen OOBOTFs so far this year. It's a timing issue & he'll get it back soon hopefully (he can kick).
