    Docklands

Coming down for Mothers Day, only my second game at the Dome. I looked at Ticketmaster to buy a ticket but disappointed that the site threw up a Level 1 seat in a lousy forward pocket position. I can get L2 behind the Coventry goals, sat there for the Bombers match & there wasn?t much atmosphere there. I notice that there is general entry for this game and presume this is up on level three. If I turn up at 1.00pm with general entry does this mean I will be banging my head on the rafters with an impeded view? What sort of crowd is expected? Is there any standing room for Neanderthals like me? Where do all the swan?s members with GE membership sit? Can some Melbourne members advise please.

We sat in the forward pocket, third level, on the side opposite the Medallion club. A lot of Swans supporters there. It was the same end where the Swans cheer squad was. I think it was the Lockett end. Very good views.

If you get there about 1 you should be able to get a good seat on level 3 in about the 3rd or 4th row. We usually sit near Aisle 41 which is halfway between the wing and the 50m. There are usually plenty of Swans supporters there. Most seats in the front section on level 3 are ok.

We sit near the commentary box at the Lockett end around about aisle 29 (I think). I love it there, but it may be a bit feral playing against Richmond.

Last time we sat next to some guy, maybe late 50s early 60s, who kept complaining about Barry and McVeigh. I thought it might have been Nico!

Was that round 1 or 3? I think the CS was at different ends for those 2 matches IIRC.

If you are willing to stand, the standing room on the wings is pretty good. You can see the whole ground well, and they have little TV's up so you can keep track of the score and replays. I love standing down the bottom at TD, awesome atmosphere down there and the view is pretty much as good as a seat on lvl 1.

Well ... my brother, who has done "his time" waiting 17 odd years for elevation to MCC membership - and who also fortuitously signed on his then one-year old son at the time - has done all the ticketing for me.

He said you simply drive in and park in the underneath carpark, catch the lift up to the members level (grabbing a beer and pie on the way) and enjoy the game. What could be easier?

The friendship ends there, however, as he's a Tigers fan. We call it our own personal "derby". I was down at the G last year when we lost by that solitary point.

My father, an Eagles fan .. still won't watch DVD #5 of my Victory pack with me!

Firstly, the Cheer Squad and reserved seating (if you want to buy a reserved seat) for Swans Melbourne Members will be at the Lockett end of the ground, which is the Lonsdale Street entrance.

As the Tigers have won 3 in a row & Willo is playing his 300th game then a very good crowd of around 40,000 would be expected.

As with every game at the Dome not involving either Essendon or Collingwood, there will be a small amount of tickets sold on the day for level 1 at the general admission price (free if you are a Melbourne member). If you rock up to the gate by 1.00pm simply go to the ticker counter and ask the lady if they are selling level 1 seats at general admin prices in the Swans section of the ground.

This has worked for every Swans game I have attended at the Dome outside of the big games against Essendon & Collingwood.
