    AFL Club Kings X Saturday

Anyone planning on going to the club to watch the game on the big screen on Saturday afternoon?

Can our positive vibes and cheers and chants get the Swannies across the line against a team that has been a bit of a bogey in recent years?

Does the complete lack of response from anyone in Sydney mean that noone is planning on going to the AFL Club to watch the game together?

I think Wardy & I are going to be there and possibly Tuesday and Eirinn. I suspect there will be a few people there to watch the game.
          Bring it on!

Why? If I said I would come, would you be there?

BTW, don't worry, there will be plenty of Tigers supporters to keep you company.

I only ask because I went to the AFL Club last Sunday for the Lions game and there was just one person in the main room upstairs 10 minutes before the start. So I went over to a friend's place and by the time I stopped and bought the beer I missed half of the cutaway to the "no progress' Beaconsfield update that Ch9 decided to show instead of the game.

I guess Ch9 doesn't think it has to treat AFL with any pseudo respect any more.

To be honest mate, I'm a little disillusioned with the SARC at the moment.

For night games it seriously just sucks these days. They don't stop the restaurant running,so you have a mixture of people trying to eat & people trying to watch the football, and a head waitress who is really stressed & irritable.

I go to a club to experience the community feeling of barracking; ie the next best thing to shelling out the $$$ on flights etc. Watching away games at Easts Leagues a few years ago was just awesome. You'd get a regular crowd of Swans fanatics who'd chant cheer & barrack as if they were at the game. And if you wanted a nice meal you'd go into the restaurant & have one.

I'm hoping it will be different tomorrow arvo. If I can get an assurance that it will simply have chairs and be there for viewing the match, I'll go readily. If not, I might pass & try somewhere else...

I might try and grab the couches on level 2. As you pretty much have the TV to yourselves & are close to the bar.

If you are a definite Dave, I'll go.
