    "Magpie" Willo

Isn't amazing how the Melbourne press can turn a story about a wonderful player and loyal Swan into a Collingwood article?

Typical of the "the age" todo such a thing, maybe swans bagger Robert Walls had a hand in the article.

No real surprises there. For the media in Melbourne, Sydney winning the flag was just a freak occurrence. Just one more reason that I would love us to go back to back this year.

              These were my thoughts exactly.

I can't see why anyone should complain about the article...

The start of the article questions whether Collywhinge made the right decision to trade and then outlines the reasons (ie what they achieved) to support the decision.

After all they did ask Greg Swann to comment...so what do you expect.

He concludes by saying that it was a win for all parties involved.

Finally there is a quote from Will himself.

How much press has there been in Sinney about the milestone??

His interviews this week leave no doubt that he will hang up the boots at the end of the year.

SMH yesterday. And, I expect the Tele tomorrow - I hope they give the Pies equal coverage.

A few weeks ago he was saying he might have a year or two to go. It may depend where we finish this season.

Collingwood lost the 2002 GF by 9 points. Yes they got a good deal for Williams and we absolutely scored, however you have to wonder if Collingwood would have not benefited by having him in the 2002 side. Willo had a huge 2002 and would have been a big contributer to Collingwood in the GF. Swann says they felt they couldn't rely on Buckly and Willaims, but you have to wonder.

Yes, but Williams may not have been in the same form if he didn't have the change of scene.
