      Okay, that's one.
      I'll even it up, Tingay.

Totally different circumstances, Tingay was a hail mary that cost us nothing. The same with Daffey, he came with Stafford to close the deal.

Recently when we have actually gone after someone and given up quality picks our records has been very good.

I love Akka and think he would be great in our team but we will be seriously mortgaging our future if we trade our early picks in this years superdraft.

We would have the potential to be a rabble like the blues in a couple of seasons time, i hope roos and co take this into consideration at trade time

Tingay is not a proper comparison.

The valid comparisons are Williams, Lockett and maybe Ball in terms of age and likely trading cost.

The equation was different for Hall given he was still relatively young when we acquired him.

Roos was "mature" but came via the PSD and hence the trade / draft opportunity cost was minimal.

Similarly, for less spectacular late-age recruits, such as Tingay, Allison, Daffy and Russell - we mustn't forget Russell - the draft / trade cost was pretty low.

How old was Schwass we he came up?

Examples of very successful mature age trades by the Swans:

                      - Lockett 29
                      - Williams 28
                      - Schwass 29
                      - Ball 27
                      - Roos 32

Great player who gives us very good service for at least three years.

It's hardly Schwass' fault we didn't win a flag in the years he was with us.

I blame the cheersquad, not the players.

As I just posted in the General AFL thread, Aker has been dropped from the Lions team to face the Hawks on Saturday night.

                              Swannies for life!

They've just announced Aker's been dropped by Brizzie for this weekend.

So wrong - every team needs a bitchslapper.
