    what is happening?

I know I have been away for 3 weeks and I can only get a few brief minutes on here when I can find an internet place but where are the Chambers threads and pithy scathing comments.

Has he had his first kick yet?

    YES.

He has had a few. He is not getting as many touches as you are, but he is getting a few tap outs, and allowing Jolly to have a rest.

He is on the same rate of improvement scale that LRT was on last year.

Was actually quite instrumental in getting us back into the Melbourne game, although we lost it by a goal in the end. Was quite good in the Geelong game against his old club, and decent enough against Brisbane.

The lad seems pretty good at getting hitouts (12 on the weekend vs 11 for Jolly), tackles pretty well when needed (3 vs 3) but is still working on getting disposals and using them well (6 vs 10, and only 1 mark vs 5).

All in all he is working his way into decent form, and I maintain that there is plenty of time for him to develop into a really good ruckman if permitted and guided.

I thought the Geelong game was a turning point in his embryonic Swans career. He looked really up for it, as you would expect playing against his old team. And he's carried that determination on in subsequent games.

He was awful in his first couple of games, but is on a steep upwards curve of improvement at the moment.

        Long may it continue!!

Baz told us all at an aftermatch that he, Chambers (not Baz!), had little confidence at first, being dropped into the Premiers team. The players have all been talking him up - just as RWO have been talking him down.

Good thing he's been listening to them not us.

He's made a very impressive 11 tackles in his 6 games!

Poor effort Satchmo. I've been away for five months and even I knew Chambers got a kick against Melbourne!

                  All of you.

(OK, so it doesn't have quite the same impact as Bomber Thompson's defence of Ottens. But I hope Chambers continues to listen to his team-mates and not RWO. It should make for some interesting 'humble pie' threads post-season.)

                    Hmmm...

Watched Torture-Chambers in the Cats game. I have no idea why after every single contest, HE JUST STOOD THERE and didn't move out to run in and contest.

Talk about playing it "injury safe"!..

Then again, I have no idea what we are going to do, if we lose him, since we've been carrying Jolly for a couple of weeks.

At least Doyle could take a mark or two... (perhaps we can use him as an emergency..

Pity is we'd probably need an expanded bench if that were the case..

IIRC correctly didn't Chambers kick to Big Bustling Barry, for Hall to kick a goal against Brisbane?

I think I saw it on the highlights, as 9 had crossed in the middle of the game to a press conference that only told us what we already knew.
