Swans chat Opening Round - Swans v Hawthorn (Members Password)

    Hi All,
I am flying down from Brisbane for the one game to take the young bloke to the SCG for the first time.
Just wondering if anyone has a generic members password which can be used to access the per-sale starting tomorrow (Dec 5)?
    Cheers
    D.

Why should Callum come in without any match practice? He should play reserves until he has enough match practice to compete at AFL level.

Tom Hanily & Ben Paton just announced to debut tomorrow

Two players are set to pull on the red and white for the first time in Opening Round on Friday night.

Wonder if the Hanily selection suggests Paps will miss. Either way, good on him.

And with Hawthorn's fleet of small forwards, Paton makes sense.

Always love a Round 1 debut for a youngster. Best of luck to both of them.

I know a lot of folks are probably still a bit shell-shocked from the Grand Final, but I'm really rather excited for the game tomorrow night.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I liked what I saw of both Paton and Hanily last week and think they will both be good additions.
Hopefully Sheldrick gets a go too.

Nice to see a couple of blokes debut. Cox has said he will back his young players in. Good on him. I wonder who the Key Backs will be? Will Paps play or Gus for that matter. Although Cox did say Gus would play. Who is out of the GF team? Fox, McLean, Harry, Parker. Four to replace. Campbell into the 22. Hanily and Paton too. Adamd or Sid? Francis or Hamling?

Definitely some magnets thrown around but nothing too unexpected after paying a bit of attention this preseason - Wicks in the backline, Lloyd on the wing, McCartin and Campbell as forwards.

                        I like it

Pretty happy with that, a bit small on the bench with not alot of Big Man depth but we probably don't need it against the Hawks

Just a few comments on the side. Firstly, it might test Amartey's tank, as he seems to be the only real choice to give Grundy some relief in the ruck. Possibly McCartin or Melican could take a few hitouts, but Amartey is the only player in that team, that I've seen spend a reasonable amount of time rucking.

Also, good luck to the Swans debutants. It must be satisfying for Paton, to be delisted by St Kilda and then line up in round one for last year's grand finalists. Hanily also must feel vindicated to a certain extent, after being overlooked in his draft cohort.

Interesting to see that Heeney is captain, as he has shied away from leadership duties in the past.

Also pleased that McCartin and Wicks experiments are continuing. They were both quite impressive in the preseason games, but of course, playing for points is another step up.

I think they will try to stretch us by swinging Nash & Sicily forward. The other thing is, where does Frost play? He could be another they use to stretch our small back line.

Other then that the side looks good. All they have to do now is deliver.
