Our recruiters had him as a fairly high draft pick and apart from being injured he has done fairly well. He may not be first 23 when everyone is fit and firing but he’s certainly handy to have as backup.
I hope we keep him, natural ball winners are always underrated.

He would have an offer in front of him, he would just be evaluating that between playing time and money elsewhere. West coast would be a better offer. He has only been an auto selection the last month as well, was in no man's land 6 weeks ago.

In Sydney's defence, if they land 3 Academy kids, they have to find spots for them too.

May well be the Zac Jones theory, let him go due to kids needing space for kids but I would keep him, our team isnt that deep

I think every non Geelong supporter not only doesn't' think it looks good but thinks it stinks to high heaven!
Sydney got a trading ban for trading in just a couple of players.

A proportionate trade ban for Geelong's abuse of player payment rules outside the cap would be a lot longer than three years.

I've started calling Geelong the "Sombreros". It's pretty obvious why.

Sheldrick is on Twomey's list of 10 midfielders who could move to other clubs during the trade period.

I also wonder whether Callum Brown could be prised out of the Giants. Or if not him, Gruzewski. The Giants have a lot of taller forwards (as well as a lot of small forwards), and with Hogan and Cadman established as the two big bananas, there are limited opportunities for the rest. Riccardi is another competing for that third tall(ish) forward role in their best 23. But unlike Gruzewski and Riccardi, Brown doesn't have an Australian home state to be lured away to. Sydney is his Australian home.
    Yes he would lol
