    Trying to look objectively how a Curnow deal might get done. One of Armatey, Logan & Maclean may have to be on the trade table as we'll have surplus of tall forwards along with Buller.

    Maclean might be the most interest to Carlton who can also fill the void 2nd ruck role to Pitnott. now that TDK is off to Saints. Not sure if our first pick + Maclean will be suffice.

    Or perhaps one of Armatey, Logan or Maclean to the Dees (who are desperate for a KPF) for a early 2nd round pick and bundled with our first rounder. Hayward might also come into calculations, considering Carlton were heavily into him last year before he re-commiitted.

    However, i'm.still of the view a KPD is our top priority like a Lever or Leek Allir, which won't cost us as much in trade & cap space in comparison to Curnow and plus having more impact.

    Twomey on the Gettable podcast:
    - definitely interest from the Swans point of view in Curnow;
    - 'fact' that Curnow is keen to move if Carlton green light the trade;
    - 4 Swans untouchables: Heeney, Gulden, Warner, Blakey;
    - difficult to see how a deal gets done;
    - mentioned that big deals generally get done when other teams get involved.

    For what it's worth, i absolutely hope we get him. I've travelled to Melbourne 4 times in 10 years to watch most abject grand final losses; totally support taking a swing.

    Just heard Fagan say he debut Darcy Wilmot in a final, name a time where we would ever debut a kid in a final, look what it's done for Wilmots career.

    Lloyd, Ramps and maybe even Cunningham need to be overtaken. I know Harry has been doing jobs but no one plays that lockdown sh8t anymore, we need to hurt teams with attack.

    There isn't a top 8 side with a Lockdown defender
    Agree, I think we need an intercept defender more than a forward. We forget that McDonald was tracking better than Thilthorpe prior to this year. If he comes back having muscled up the same way, then look out! Ugle-Hagan is far too much of a risk, in terms of damage to culture and whether he even wants to play footy at an elite level, with all the work that entails. Curnow offers little more than what we already have. Yes, a talented player, and maybe he’d be better with us, but he doesn’t really do enough regularly to warrant the adulation of the Victorian press. He’s no Lockett, Hall or Franklin, and apart from one really good season he’s more flashy than consistent.

    There’s a lot of over excitement round the comp for a bog average player.
    The fascination is that he is "free", the money being talked about it reasonable and he doesn't cost to trade. Every other player is under contract which typically means they don't come cheap.
