Ladhams is needed to help out in the ruck as TMac will revert to defence with Hayden our only other tall up forward. Hanily the sub.

Why can’t Braeden do the tagging role with his speed. I think if he can be given the run in role, he also has the attacking game that can then be exploited as the best players from opposition are not necessarily the best defenders. The reference point for him will keep him engaged but his skills with the kicks can really get our other midfielders go outside the contest. Having said that his tackling skills are not elite and he may not have the endurance but give him that role for 10 min each quarter and see how we go with our structure. I think he is being wasted in our team

I suspect that Grundy and Mclean will do the ruck work as Port Adelaide's ruck division is not strong. I think Hamling will play up forward on sunday. I agree that Sheldrick should play and Hanily the sub.

Ben Paton comes in for Wicks, wicks moves forward. Which I hate but that’s what is likely to happen
hanily, wicks, Hayward, McLean, Hamling, Cleary, Ladhams resting mid etc in forward line.
Tom and Melican in back line. With Melican back, I think Paton will be ok. In the first game he was defending targets that he shouldn’t have - with no Melican / Mccartin in backline.

we lost one game coz Tom was left in forward line for far too long. He is a defender - play him like a defender.

i reckon Sheldrick needs a good run in twos even though he played well.
or we could go back to our Longmire defense lineup. Put florent back there.

I don’t think we’ve found Braeden’s best position. He’s played wing, HB, HF and maybe a bit in the guts. Let’s give him more time on the ball- wasn’t he a midfielder in our Academy?

Interesting chances. Melican and Macca make clear sense, but Francis in for Ladhams probably means that Tom McCartin will go forward.

I'm starting to get a bit concerned with Sheldrick. Hopefully he'll start having some big games in the VFL.

With these sections, it means McLean is the backup Ruck and McCartin is the sole tall forward for that period.

I hope we can put up a winning score - but feel doubtful

I'm starting to think Sheldrick is going to be the 2nd round pick we get to cover our Academy selections

Meh Francis, hard to see him and Hamling in the same team.

I get that Ports ruck division isnt as strong but why not exploit that with 2 good rucks as opposed to evening it out by dropping one.

We have now moved into 12th place. Lose on Sunday and we are in bottom four territory!!

Interesting both Sheldrick & Lafhams have beem omitted, wiith Francis coming in. Francis effectively replacing Ladhams.
McCartin certain to play perm forward.

Clearly or Hanily are likely sub unless they go with Francis, because do we need 3 KPDs against Port?

Maclean to play 2nd ruck role.

Interesting how we will line up with Francis in.

Why Hanilt the sub? He kicked 2 goals last week and always looked dangerous

Yes. stupid of me to mention Hanily as i also don't want to see him as sub!!!! I was trying to muse who they might consider as sub. based on those named on the bench.
