Swans chat Team Selection for Round 8 v GWS Giants

The squads for Sunday's game against the Giants have Wicks, Paton and Hamling in, no player out yet.

Wicks was listed as "Test" on the injury list. Paton was also listed with "TBC". What's going on here?

Paton can’t be an in because he was already in the team last week. Swans

Swans website saying Sheldrick is on the extended bench. I suspect that he should be an ‘in’ and not Paton.

        Ins are: Wicks, Sheldrick, Hamling.

        Wicks straight into the 22.

Extended bench is: Bice, McInerney, Ladhams, Cleary, Paton, Hanily, Sheldrick, Hamling.

Suspect Hanily, Hamling and Paton / Ladhams will drop off.

Paton is out injured folks. Seeing Bowman is an extended signing I expect him to be selected. If JMac is to play he has to be sub, to shake him up after a woeful performance.

I’m not overly happy with this- I think Ladhams is a bit unlucky. Grundy is more effective when he’s there, and so is McLean. Not sure why we need Hamling in there when we have both MCartin and Melican in.

I agree, Grundy hasn't played well solo all year.

Only reason I'd bring Hamling in is to release Blakey

Can’t he be released when both McCartin and Melican are there?

Not with Hogan, Stringer and Cadman playing

I really do not get this . We have nothing up forward. No-one to kick goals. Hayward was basically useless last week. Has had one good game this year - that’s it. Francis kicked a few goals .Amartey though injured anyway has little awareness. They have a classic built full forward in the reserves - seemingly playing OK in the ressies -Jack Buller. - kicked 1.3 Anzac Day. What is he doing wrong ? For pity sake roll the dice and give him a go. Believe me he is a gun. They picked him up mid year draft from Claremont because he was smashing it.

Cox has lost it, what a side almost full of smaller type players. I guess one of them may help grundy out in the ruck. agree re buller at least give him a go. I was hoping for snell to get a game soon to show us his wares, gets ill or injured a lot. Edwardes at fb may also be worth a go, see what they have got. No use staying with the tried and might i say hopeless as well. our recruiting since the mathematician took over is useless.

Yeah I was thinking this as well, Hamling has played forward but I reckon you are onto something. If they do try Blakey fwd what a time to do it against the best defence in the comp lol

in regards to Grundy I saw a stat during the week showing he is ranked no 2 for hit outs to advantage this year

Still think we need Ladhams, if Mclean is pinch hitting in the Ruck I cant see any forward ball not landing in Taylor's lap

Agreed I reckon Ladhams has shown plenty this year, doubt he will be in Red and white next year - I would of kept him in
