Hamling was actually pretty important - hardly lost a 1 on 1 contest. Their 2 key backs had no impact really - neither did Greene.
Pity about Melican going out as he had a good game. Wicks excellent in 3rd quarter.Comment

Good to tough that out. Away to Essendon next week, then Carlton at home. Quite possible to win both and get back to 5-5.
ABC Radio votes from Ryan O'Keeffe.
3: Chad Warner.
2: Finn Callaghan.
1: James Jordon.Last edited by dejavoodoo44; 4 May 2025, 07:42 PM.Comment

Wicks to defence has been one of the best things this season.👍 2Comment

That was a good win from a team that's been thrown together...Hamling has a bit of presence which is good, Francis can't tackle but presents well, and Rowie, Chad and Heeney combined well- Grundy seemed determined to win this one- and we did- NICE- thanks to you guys too for being patient with my impatient commentsComment

Nice call Deja. Yes, nice win to the lads.....still well undermanned, will boost confidence within the team.Weather is a mostly fine 21°, with virtually no breeze. So, a good afternoon for football.
Sheldrick is our sub, while it's Stringer for the Giants.
Once again, it's hard to feel confident, and yet, I've just a vague feeling that an upset might be brewing. Ir could be that we might just be more desperate than the Giants.
I don't want to get ahead of myself but we should beat Essendon next week.Last edited by stevoswan; 4 May 2025, 05:28 PM.Comment
