    Defensive Pressure

One aspect of our game I was really impressed with on Saturday was our guys work when we didn?t have the ball. From up on Level 3 it was clear that there was a lot of communication ensuring that there were no loose men. Among the midfielders a lot of it was NOT a Swans payer picking up a specific opponent, but more working as a collective unit to ensure the Tigers were manned up in a minimum of time.

How well we execute this part of our game will determine how well we stop the dogs run on Saturday. That?s how the Crows got them.

Exactly right old Royboy, and btw what a great heritage you have! The coverage off the ball of opponents, and the combinations when sweeping forward in numbers are the most reminiscent of the premiership style of 05.
Rarely have i seen a side over the last 40 or so years that feeds on success as much as these guys!.The better they go, the better they go!

I had a quick look at the AFL.com.au stats and these show that the Swans laid 81 tackles. That would have to be a very high number in any game, let alone one where they were in possession for significantly more than 50% of the time. Extraordinary effort.

I noticed that too, almost doubled Richmond's tackle stats, which is extraordinary given we had so much more possesion than they did.
