    Tom Morris was right

papley, gulden, amartey and roberts in
adams, llloyd, co. Warner and hanily out.

Interesting both McLean and Francis kept there spots. We’re going tall!

Aliir out for port too, which is great as he usually kills us

Just realised that Bice has retained his spot. Must have been a close call. Maybe he'll be sub.

Allir hasn't come up from his knee injury sustained last week, while Ollie Wines will also be absent. Now we just have to avoid kicking it straight to Ratugolea, rather than to Aliir.
Aliir might be sitting on the bench or in the stands, so, I wouldn't totally rule out us kicking it to him.

That is close to the consensus selections mooted here. It is definitely the strongest team Sydney has selected this year.

Opponents don't have Aliir and Wines, making them more beatable.

None of the alleged tipsters on the AFL website have selected Sydney. That doesn't mean anything; I suspect Sydney is in with a chance of winning this. If so, it would be the first home-and away win against Port for a while. Port is the team I most want to beat right now.

Game tactics: place Francis at CHF and keep him there. Given he kicked three goals in one quarter after coming on as the sub last time Sydney played Port, it would make Port and their pet ferals a bit nervous. He should go back to defence only if necessary.

This is the best side we can field right now. Let’s hope Errol and Paps are up to it and get through ok. On paper we can win this game but maybe we are asking or expecting too much so soon after their long time out. It would be great if we do win- come on Bloods!

Feel for Jake, but his form has been poor, especially the last few games but in truth for most of the year. The Pies veterans are playing well but let’s face it, they were always more skilful than Lloydy. I’m sorry to say I think he’s cooked- play the rest of the year in the ressies to help them out and allow a youngster to develop in the seniors.

Its remarkable to have Paps & Errol both back
to play Port and throw in Amartey & Roberts .

That was funny tho … they might still kick it to Aliir up in
              the stands .

I hope so too. It's been too long since Sydney has beaten Port during the home and away season.

Last time we played them, it was an 8-point loss with 7 more scoring shots. We had better not be doing that again.

Sydney's particular weakness this year has been scoring accuracy from general play where the Swans are ranked last this year at about 31%. The Swans are much better from set shots (ranked second). Sydney has sorely missed Gulden's penetrating kicks into the forward line and Papley feasting on the crumbs. With both of them playing for the first time this year, I hope to see improved accuracy.

And even longer since we beat them at Adelaide Oval, which we haven't done since 11 April 2015, per AFL Tables: https://afltables.com/afl/teams/swan...mes_tm.html#13.

I personally would have preferred both Errol and Paps having a game in the VFL first rather than coming straight back in. However, I do love to see both play- so hopefully they will be OK
