Great win by North. It shows they are making some progress. They're only bad game in the last six weeks has been their 45-point loss against Collingwood; otherwise they're been close losses, won their games or the draw against Brisbane. Give them two or three more goals a game and they would be pushing for finals for sure.

Their blemish today was not scoring in the last quarter. They haven't held large leads at 3/4 time very often in the last few years and apparently didn't know what to do.

In the last 10 years, the Saints have sacked coaches (including one they had literally reappointed the month before), picked the wrong King twin, missed the Bont and Petracca in drafts, want to waste $1.7m a year on a ruckman, and threw away two years worth of draft picks to get Dougall Howard, Dan Butler and Zac Jones - but they did “win trade week”. And somehow it’s the fault of the northern academies. A joke of a club.

I wonder if they also think silly FA compensation picks should be done away with. A first tier compensation pick for Battle, anyone? An end of first round pick for Gresham?
