14 goals 10 to 12 goals 11. They wore their kicking boots today. Like last week, Sydney had one more scoring shot, but this time the accuracy was better than the opponents."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi finalComment

Players doing postmatch interviews outside, because apparently there's been a sewer leak in the rooms. Typical of the season: you think that things are starting to go okay and then @@@@ happens.😂 2Comment

Sheldrick and Grundy both need to be told they don't possess speed off the mark like Chad, so try a quick handball when they get it in traffic
Hamling did well, glad they played him..... It's one of those games where you would say he almost isn't a Full Fwd and need to be played down back.Comment

Reckon as good a win as any this year because we’re getting closer to the game style Cox is seeking out.
Being able to run and gun and use our kicking skills out of back half is fantastic but can’t be game plan A, B and C. We need to be able to win contests all over the ground and get better at clearances, including centre bounces. It’s more sustainable to be able to win in different ways. We’ve been building to it and today we had it, despite the slowdown in the last quarter.
Grundy was excellent again, but reckon Chad was outstanding. He both won the hard ball and had his burst going. JJ and Campbell took Serong and Clark to the cleaners. JJ is just elite in his decision making and execution going inside 50 and around goals.
And of whipping boys, Lloyd actually ran and moved the ball on, McLean was outstanding, and he didn’t have a great game till the last quarter, but Hamling won some important contests.
What sucks is the eternal injury curse of ‘25 with Paps and Amartey going down.
PS: I know he was poor today, but hope we persist with Sheldrick. One dark day can’t mean you’re out.Comment

Special mention to Hayward: 11 contested possessions, 8 tackles (7 in F50), 22 pressure acts and a crucial goal in the last.Comment

Agree with all of that. Generally an even performance. Gulden was also excellent, particularly his kicking. Melican, McCartin, Wicks and Cunningham were great in defence. Campbell did a great job on Clark.

JJ 9 disposals, but a superb tagging role and two very nice goals. McLean back to his mark-clunking straight-kicking best. The midfield firing - Mills, Gulden, Warner, Heeney, McInerney - and Lloyd - all very good. Crowd-pleaser from Blakey. Another great game from Grundy, up against two very good rucks.
Should've entered "guess the crowd", I was seven off. The stay-aways missed a great afternoon (unseasonably warm too) at the footy.Comment
