You're probably right that he didn't have a particularly good game. But it was him starting to try after half-time that made Freo look more of a threat. I can imagine he was the player causing Cox the most concern towards the end of the game that he might do something to pinch the game for Freo, and thus the one Docker that might have been top of his mind when he cast his votes. I can't see Longmuir giving Bolton any votes (as he was likely pissed off that Bolton did next to nothing in the first half), and I find it hard to believe Ryan gave Cox much concern.

Or maybe it's a case of human error, just like the Perryman/Pendlebury mixup below. Bolton would be next to...Brayshaw?

Certainly plausible. I thought Brayshaw was the Docker most worthy of a minor vote.

I thought we really controlled the areas we wanted Freeo to. move the ball to then counter

Great effort by the lads and our kick return from our back pockets and HBFs was next level in variation ....... really moved the Freeo lads around

Our set up was pretty good and the lads stuck to their tasks. I’m particularly pleased for Wicks as I’ve been a harsh critic and he has now found his place down back and become a very useful player. Hamling’s game was probably the best he’s played for us and should retain his spot in defence. That means Francis will come in and play forward. We applied good pressure and our clearances improved heaps- let’s keep it up boys!

Hopefully we play tall against Saints, that's was the difference when Freo beat them a fortnight ago

In: Bice Francis Florent Ladhams Co.Warner
                Out: Amartey Papley

Those 5 ins plus Hamling Buller and Roberts are the extended bench

So who makes the 23? Hamling deserves another game as does Buller. I’d add Florent and Francis with Bice as sub. Would love to fit Ladhams in, but it’s a call between him and Francis. Corey and Roberts to miss. But what do I know!
