    2025 season prospects

I did the ladder predictor after the win today. Remaining games: St Kilda, North, GWS, Essendon, Brisbane, Geelong, West Coast.

I gave us a 7-0 record, and we finished 8th ahead of Gold Coast.

    It's a narrow path!

We can dream Matt, but I’ll be happy if we continue to play well and give of our best. This year we’ve been badly hit with injuries and can’t field our best team on a consistent basis and the reality is that we don’t have the depth required in these circumstances. If young Riak and Snell can be introduced for a few games ahead of next season our defence may then be ok and then we’ll only need a top key forward.

I have us dropping one game (against Geelong) and finishing 9th, with Freo 8th and the Suns 10th. I'm sure there's some variations where the Suns and Freo bomb out and we can still drop one game (maybe two).

Games against Geelong and Brisbane will be hard to win, and the GWS game is a 50/50 but we'd go into the other 4 as favourites.

Reckon we'll finish with 11 or 12 wins. We need to trade at the end of the season. Sadly Amartey looks like another Reid. Unavailable too often.
