I like how the Giants are going against Geelong right now. Cadman has kicked four goals in the third quarter.

I swear I saw/heard reference that we (along with Melbourne) were tracking the contract progress of Cadmen either during the Giants game or just after it yesterday, then woke up this morning to news he has extended his contract for another 4 years.

Good for the Giants, brief pang of what could have been for me that I wasn’t expecting.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

West Coast are leading Port Adelaide by two goals at half time in the final match of the round. Can they go on to win this?

I know this thread is basically done and dusted but I couldn't resist posting this. Titus O'Rielly from his wrap up of the weekends Ess/Rich game:

For the fans that were there, this will be something they’ll tell their grandkids about.
“Were you really at the Tigers/Bombers Round eighteen game in 2025 Grandpa?”
“I was,” as Grandpa’s eyes fix on the horizon and he gets that hollow look again, “I saw things I can never unsee.”
“Grandpa, why are you crying? Grandpa you’re scaring me.”

Footy is a passion, not some cold hearted, spread sheet dominated rational exercise.  On a Monday, you want irrational reaction. You want emotion to trump

In 2002, there was a Swans/St.Kilda game at Marvel Stadium. It ended in a draw and the game was thought by many to be the worst game of all time. (I was there and it was a shocker!) Saturday night's Richmond/Essendon game was just as bad but some of that could be put down to wet, slippery conditions at the G. The Swans and St.Kilda couldn't use that excuse with their game played under a roof.
